Hard to believe it’s nearing the end of December.

Harder to believe that the Paul McCartney tickets that Julie and I scored will soon result in us seeing the man himself (in Edmonton?!)

Ah Festivals.

Don’t get us wrong… we love playing in bars for loud drunken people
who shout things at us, but festivals (and folk clubs) are where it’s
really at.

Scott wins star search

In the end, Grande Prairie-born musician Andrew Scott was the last one standing.

No, it wasn’t Canadian Idol, but it was the Global Country Star Search competition which sought the next up-and-coming performer from all over Canada.

Monday in Edmonton at the Winspear, four finalists vied for the title in a concert-based setting, and it was Scott who left with the title.
