Album Release!

10456031_948942685160510_1460683991951847608_nThe album release at Sideliner’s in Edmonton went really well! Thanks so much to everybody who came out to see us!
Just a heads up, if you are interested in buying a copy of the new album then head to the purchase section of the website here and you can find all of my albums for sale. The best part is that you can pay whatever you think is fair!
I’m really happy to share that I will be off to the United Kingdom for a string of gigs this coming May! I will be in Derry and Strabane (Northern Ireland) and then Burnham On Sea in England! More dates to come! I’m super excited!
Lastly, the world has seen more than its fair share of darkness over these past few days. Let’s all hope that wisdom, peace and love reign. My family and I send our most heartfelt regards to the families of all that have been affected by these horrible tragedies.
Take care amigos, we’re all in this together.

New Album – Bloodground is here!

BloodgroundHey hey hey!

FINALLY! The new album “Bloodground” is here! We are so proud of this recording and hope you enjoy it! Thank you so much to Stew Kirkwood, Jeff Kynoch, Jesse Northey, Peter Stone, Sheldon Sveinson, Sandra Grouette, Marcus Vanstone, Thom Golub, Geoffrey O’Brien and all of the others involved in this long process. I’ve related the story before, but it bears repeating, a few days after we started doing demos for this Julie and I found out we were going to have a child. The timing… man oh man.

Anywho! An extra huge, massive, super thank you must go to my dear friend Celeigh Cardinal. Her beautiful voice is all over this album and it was a pleasure getting to collaborate with her.
Celeigh’s long overdue for an album herself. If you would like to donate to that very worthy cause then please click here:

If you would like to grab a physical copy of Bloodground then please either contact me directly, grab it at one of our shows (including the pub gigs) or buy it online and pay what you can at

Or head on over to the good people at CD baby:

We had an absolutely fantastic time at the Sasquatch Gathering and the Lac Du Bonnet Fire & Water Festival! Thanks so much for having us! These gorgeous music festivals are the best way to spend a summer weekend. It flies by heart breakingly fast so make sure you stop to enjoy it all!

Anywho, there are plenty of pics to come AND work will soon re-commence on our new album (the one that went into hiatus when Julie and I found out we were having a baby!).

Hey there!

Sevelyne-and-fatheado, a lot has been happening at the Scott family compound over the last couple of months. Our plans for a new album were slightly delayed, though it’s well underway, due to the arrival of our beautiful baby daughter Evelyn! She is absolutely gorgeous!

That has, just for this year, put a wee bit of a dent in our summer time travel plans, but we do still have a few things on the go and are in the middle of arranging a few really cool things, on top of the new album, for 2015 and beyond!

In the meantime, I am really happy to announce that one of the new songs from the upcoming album has been selected as a finalist at The South Country Fair Songwriting Competition and The Calgary Folk Festival Songwriting Competition. Huzzah! The performances will be in a couple of weeks and I’ll make sure to get the results up here.

Talk to you soon! Andrew, Julie and Evelyn

Happy Holidays

Happy Holidays to all our friends and family! Thanks so much for a great year!

-Andrew, Little Julie and baby on the way (hasn’t come yet!)

October 30th? Already? Summer just flew past us in a breeze of activity!

October 30th? Already? Summer just flew past us in a breeze of activity!

Anyway, big news across the board:

  1. The recording sessions, albeit delayed, have begun for the new album which will be ready for release in early 2014! Huzzah! This album, recorded at two studios here in Edmonton, will feature a bunch of new songs AND the fantastic talents of the lovely Celeigh Cardinal! Huzzah! Huzzah!
  2. The reason for the delay? Well, little Julie and I are going to have a baby! That’s right! The baby is due December 25th (?!) and we are super excited! Hopes are high that the baby will be a bass prodigy right off the bat. Oh yeah!
  3. Hope you all had a fantastic summer and a lovely fall thus far!

Take it easy amigos!

Places & Spaces – Winner!

IMG_6641Celeigh Cardinal and I won the “Places And Spaces” category at the Calgary FolkFest Songwriting Competition! Mind = blown!

Calgary Folk Festival Songwriting Competition

Two of my songs have been chosen as finalists in the Calgary Folk Festival Songwriting Competition! Exciting! The two songs, “A Ghost Inside These Walls” and “Blood Ground”, will be on the new EP that will be released later on this fall.

The Latest…

Man…… busy times. We are hard at work writing new songs, rehashing old ones and getting enough money to put together a fancy new album.

Like so many artists, I feel like I work best under a time limit so I’m tentatively suggesting that our new album, the follow up to “My Time In The Empire”, will be out in November of 2013. New songs, new vibes, new grooves, new shirts, new goodness.

Life is a strange and beautiful thing.
